Who runs this website
This is the personal academic website of Nitu Kumari, School of Mathematical & Statistical Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology Mandi (nitu-kumari.com). For any privacy question, email nitu@iitmandi.ac.in.
Browsing the website
You can read every page without signing in. The website does not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and it does not create user accounts. Like any website, the hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes technical information such as your IP address to deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.
The contact form and “Sign in with Google”
To prevent people from sending messages in someone else’s name, the contact form asks you to sign in with Google. When you do, Google shares only your name, email address and profile picture with this website. No other Google data is requested, and your Google password is never seen by this website.
When you send a message, your name, verified email address and the text you write are emailed to Nitu Kumari so that she can read it and reply to you. This information is used only to answer your message. It is not stored in a database on this website, not added to any mailing list, and not sold or shared with anyone else.
The message is delivered through Cloudflare’s email service to the inbox of nitu@iitmandi.ac.in, where it is kept like any other email. Google’s handling of the sign-in itself is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
